Trauma Therapy Intensives are particularly helpful for addressing trauma (PTSD) and complex trauma (CPTSD). Couple Counselling Program (Online/In-person)

Our Couple Counselling Program is developed under Emotionally Focused Therapy, which usually takes 8 to 20 sessions to address communication issues, attachment-related issues, recurring conflicts and argument, disconnection and lack of intimacy, insecurity and trust issues, infidelity and betrayals, impact of trauma, life transitions, parenting issues, etc. The usual setting of this program will include an intake assessment process and following treatment sessions, with homework in-between sessions.
The intake assessment process is recommended to be one 50-min joint session, and at least two 50-min individual sessions for each partner.
The treatment sessions are recommended to be 50-min or 80-min joint sessions.

Policy
Extended Health Insurance Coverage & Direct Billing: Many extended health plans cover sessions provided by registered clinical counsellors. We provide direct billing to some insurance companies (click here for more information). For insurance companies that are not on our list, clients need to pay upfront and then submit receipt for reimbursement by insurance.
ICBC-sponsored Services: We provide direct billing to ICBC so that clients do not need to pay for sessions by themselves. Since we use a different booking system for ICBC clients, please contact us to book the first session.
CVAP-sponsored Services: We provide direct billing to CVAP (Crime Victim Assistance Program) so that clients do not need to pay for sessions by themselves. Please contact us to book the first session.
FNHA-sponsored Services: We provide direct billing to FNHA (First Nations Health Authority) so that clients do not need to pay for sessions by themselves. Please contact us to book the first session.
Financial policy: Session fees will be collected prior to the start of each session and are payable by e-transfer, credit cards (visa, MasterCard, etc.), and cash (only for in-person sessions). Recognizing the potential financial strains some clients may face, we offer a limited number of low-cost services for students and clients in need. Click here for more details.
Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel or reschedule for your appointment, please provide 48 hours notice. Clients who provide less than 48 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee up to the full session fee.
